Does Bihar Matter

With the recent events in Bihar Political scenario where Nitish Kumar became chief minister for 9th time in the state with active support of BJP, a pertinent question comes to everyone’s mind – does Bihar matter to anyone? 

Over last several decades, Bihar has been a political pawn in the hands of national and regional political parties. Bihar is good for the number game, it’s large illiterate and poor population is good for seats and does not have any ability to ask any of their genuine socio-political rights. It is in the interest of all political class to keep the masses producing poor and illiterate heads who can be their road to power, but will never ask anything in return. This is why one is never wrong in saying that people deserve the leaders they wish. Biharis even do not even have the ability to wish a good future for themselves. 

The Politics of caste ensures that the caste fiefdom continue to exist and political parties are only required to manage the give and take relationships with so called leaders.
