Bokaro gets a State of the art Indoor Badminton Hall; DI inaugurates

Bokaro : In a bid to give a fillip to sporting activities in the city, SAIL- Bokaro Steel Plant has come forward in a big way by setting up of a modern well equipped state of the art Indoor Badminton Hall at the Sports Complex, Sector 4 in Bokaro on Sunday.

The glittering Indoor Badminton Hall with two (2) Synthetic Turfed Courts, was inaugurated by the Director Incharge, SAIL-Bokaro Steel Plant Shri Amarendu Prakash on 8th August in the presence of Executive Directors and senior officials of the plant.The inauguration function was also attended by sportsmen & witnessed by enthusiastic sports lovers of Bokaro.

This one of its kind Indoor Badminton Hall of international standards in Jharkhand has left the entire sports fraternity of Bokaro elated. This facility will facilitate and empower future champions from Bokaro to hone their skills in badminton and bring laurels for the country at international levels.

This second Indoor Badminton Court is in addition to one Indoor Badminton court already present in the sports complex. With this, Sports Complex at Bokaro now boasts of 3 synthetic Indoor Badminton Courts.

Notably, Director Incharge BSL Shri Amarendu Prakash had declared this year as a year of sports and well-being and this facility is a step in that direction. He congratulated all concerned and extended his best wishes to the sports enthusiasts in the city. Global Active Partner City Officer cum international basketball coach Jaydeep Sarkar stated, ‘Bokaro is going to rock in sports area soon.’
